Awarded by GPTW, the company becomes the first in the oil and gas sector to receive certification in the Industry category, reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being
Seagems is now recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work For – Industry 2025, a ranking by global consultancy and certifier Great Place to Work (GPTW). The company stood out among 553 participating players across the country, securing the 37th position. With this achievement, it becomes the first company in the oil and gas sector to receive certification in this category.
In 2025, the company also earned the GPTW seal for the seventh consecutive year, ranking 11th in the State Ranking for Large Companies (Rio de Janeiro). These recognitions reinforce the submarine engineering company’s efforts to promote an organizational culture grounded in respect, safety, quality of life, and the professional growth of its more than 1,200 employees.
According to Glaucia Maciel, Seagems’ Human Resources Director, the certifications are the result of effective and continuous actions focused on physical and emotional health, as well as initiatives aimed at professional development. “This year, we launched the Emotional Education Program, designed to promote emotional safety in the corporate environment, in addition to other initiatives such as 24/7 psychological support through a virtual platform, quarterly employee happiness assessments, and ongoing investment in training,” she explains.
In the field of education, the company runs the Seagems Excellence Academy (SEA), which over the past 10 years has invested US$ 25 million in employee development. It also maintains an Educational Program for students in the public school system of Rio das Ostras (RJ), one of the cities where Seagems is headquartered.
“Our commitment to continually improving the technical qualifications of everyone working at Seagems is unwavering. That is why we invest in educational programs and other initiatives that support the retention of onshore and offshore professionals,” concludes Rogerio Salbego, CEO of Seagems.
