Emergency Response
Our Emergency Response Plan contemplates all undesirable scenarios, even the most unlikely, identified by a thorough analysis of all risks involved with our types of operations. We are ready for any kind of surprise!
Our planning for critical situations includes training and simulations of the most diverse scenarios that meet all Brazilian Regulatory Standards and international legislation, as well as strict internal criteria that value total safety of employees. In addition to always being prepared and alert, we look for opportunities for continuous improvement during our emergency response exercises.
To be even more effective, we have developed a specialized room for emergency resolution at the Seagems office. The SNOC – Seagems Network Operations Center is a complete environment for monitoring and communicating with all our operational units. The solution is based on a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system, which connects the SNOC to every communication device on the PLSV ships, including the mobile radio (UHF) channels used on the ships’ deck during operations. Through Seagems’s Network Operations Center, the base managers and engineers are able to maintain direct contact with each of the vessels, besides monitoring approximately 40 security cameras installed on each ship. A complete audiovisual interaction. The whole process happens in real time. On average, once a month, we conduct emergency response exercises involving our crisis room.
