20 YEARS OF SUCCESS IN RIO DAS OSTRAS
In 2024, the Rio das Ostras Jazz & Blues celebrates its 20th edition as the festival with the highest number of editions ever held to date, another milestone for the largest jazz & blues festival in Latin America and one of the top 10 in the world. So far, the event has hosted about 600 shows by national and international artists for a total audience of over 1.2 million spectators. Throughout this period, in addition to bringing free and quality culture to residents and visitors to the resort, the Festival has also contributed to boosting tourism in the region, generating income, and attracting new businesses. According to studies by FGV-RJ, SEBRAE, and the Rio das Ostras Tourism Secretariat, over the past seven years, an average of R$9 million has been injected into the local economy for each edition of the event (over its four days).
“It is a great joy to celebrate the arrival of the 20th edition of the Rio das Ostras Jazz & Blues, an event that fulfills me as a professional and as a person. Over these years, we have seen the Festival be born, grow, mature, and gain prestige, being courted by great names in jazz and blues who recognize the relevance of the event. Today we are a reference for the audience that loves jazz and blues, which already reserves a space in their calendar every year to honor us,” celebrates Stenio Mattos, director of Azul Produções, the company responsible for producing the festival.
The Rio das Ostras Jazz & Blues is an initiative of the Rio das Ostras City Hall in partnership with Sesc RJ, produced by Azul Produções, and supported by Seagems.
